Cleaning is the part people notice first, since it's the part you can see — that's why it's usually the first thing people ask about. But when you order a one-time or ongoing grave care, you're not just paying for cleaning.

You're trusting us with your request without being there yourself. So we need to understand clearly what you need, arrange the visit, carry out the agreed work the way you want it, and photograph the result from different angles so you can actually see what was done. On top of that, we give you a short description of the grave's condition and anything that needs extra attention, backed up with photos or video.

There's a lot more behind one cemetery visit than what the client actually sees.

The Cleaning Itself

The scope of work depends on what we agree with you. It can mean cleaning the grave and washing the monument, clearing weeds and debris — all part of the base cleaning price.

After the first cleaning, or during ongoing care, sometimes extra work comes up — trimming vegetation (young trees), repair, or tidying the area around the grave.

Naturally, any job first needs an actual visit to the site and some equipment. Cutting back trees, painting, or repairs are a different level of work, tools, and preparation.

So "cleaning" isn't always the same service. Cleaning is a standard service with a set price, but behind the word "cleaning" — or "grave care" — there's often a lot more, in terms of both the actual work and what clients expect and value.

Talk First, Then Travel

Before anyone goes to the cemetery, we talk with you — asking questions and clarifying details.

Together we need to understand what you want, where the grave is, and what information you already have. Sometimes that's straightforward — cemetery, sector, row, place, a photo. Sometimes it's much less.

If anything might affect the price — special equipment, unusual work, travel outside the city — we tell you first. We don't decide that on our own once we're already there.

We almost never surprise you with extra costs, so we don't do work that wasn't agreed. The exception is our long-term clients who trust us and whose approval we can reasonably expect — but in most cases, we don't make on-site decisions on our own without checking with you first.

Photos That Actually Show Something

Most of our clients live far from Ukraine. You can't just stop by after the visit and check the work yourself. That's why trust, honesty, and doing things properly aren't just nice extras for us — they're the basic foundation of any long-term working relationship, and we take that seriously.

We photograph every visit and send you the actual images, showing things exactly as they are. You see the condition of the grave and the result of the work almost as if you'd been there yourself.

If something needs your attention — damage to the monument, for example — we show you that too.

What You Don't See

The cemetery visit is the part you see. Behind it is a small family business — equipment to maintain, orders to track, communication that has to be handled properly so nothing gets forgotten or lost. We won't say we never make mistakes, but we do everything we can to keep that to a minimum.

We use technology where it helps us stay reliable. It doesn't replace real communication. When you write to us, an actual person reads it, asks questions, and talks it through with you. That matters to us — we don't want this to turn into a cold, automatic system where you place an order and just hope the result matches what you had in mind.

Regular Care — and Why We Keep It Human Here Too

Regular care isn't the same as ordering a cleaning whenever you happen to remember. We plan the visits ourselves, within the season, so you don't have to think about it.

Usually that's three visits a year, with photos after each one — and it costs less than three separate one-time cleanings.

But it doesn't have to work exactly that way.

We have a client who's been with us since 2010. They pay three years ahead and ask for one cleaning a year — not our standard package, but exactly what works for them. Our answer was simple: no problem.

We'd rather adjust the arrangement to fit you than make you fit a fixed system. Our services and prices exist to keep things clear and transparent — but what you actually want for the grave matters more to us, so almost everything can be adjusted.

Why the First Cleaning Doesn't Cost More

The first visit often takes more work — even within a single cleaning — than the ones after it. Maybe the grave hasn't been cared for in a while. Maybe there's more to deal with than expected. We're also seeing it for the first time ourselves.

We don't charge extra for cleaning a more neglected grave. Of course, if it's separate work — painting, repairs, or removing a tree stump that needs to be cut down and cleared — that's agreed and priced separately.

If you're happy with the result, you might ask us to keep looking after the grave — and each visit after that gets easier, because by then we know both the grave and what you expect.

What matters most to us is a long-term relationship built on trust, not squeezing the most out of a single visit.

What Can Cost Extra

Anything that needs special equipment and isn't part of standard cleaning — removing heavy vegetation (young trees), painting, repairs, restoration, or travel outside the city — can add to the price. But we always discuss all of that with you first. You won't get a bill with work on it you didn't know about.

What's included in the photo report?

At least 4 photos before the work and 4 after. If you asked for something specific, we photograph that too — and anything we find that needs extra work, like damage that needs painting or repair.

Is annual care cheaper than three separate cleanings?

Yes. Our standard plan — three visits a year — costs less than booking three cleanings separately. But it's not the only option: if you'd like a different schedule, tell us, and we'll look at what works.
